I had no issues with Portland International, as a matter of fact, it was the fastest and the easiest time spent with security. No issues with the service and I love being able to get in and get out. The only problem that I encountered, was with Starbucks opening twenty minutes late. The service was so dang slow and the line was so dang long, I was standing in that line for forty minutes. I would fly into this airport every time, it is just the right size and very easy to navigate.

I loved this little jetport. Returning my rental car was a breeze due to that area’s proximity to the airport. Security didn’t take long at all, and I was able to get to my gate quickly. I even tried one of the massage chairs and enjoyed that.

Love this airport because it’s so small. We arrived an hour and 20 minutes prior to our flight with a rental car and luggage to check. We were sitting at our gate (one of only 14) in less than half an hour. You go up for TSA and then back down for the gates. There’s a Starbucks and a few restaurants. Very clean airport, friendly staff.

There is one lactation room right by gate 6. It is spacious but the room has hardly any air circulation and was so hot. It’s a weird set up, you have to turn the light switch on to get the air to blow. The 25mins I was in there pumping I didn’t notice a big difference in cooler air at all. My baby was sweating and so was I.

Avoid this airport if you are a business traveler. No counter bypass for rental cars. You will wait. Here is some travel tips. For the rest of your life on earth you will need your drivers license and your credit card to rent a car. Also there is no reason to make small talk when you approach the counter.

Small Airport. Single Terminal. Even the TSA Folks will chat with you in a friendly way. Beware: If you purchased Popover mix (or any powdery product) and bring it home in your suitcase, your suitcase will be opened by TSA. TSA views any powder as possible Anthrax, etc. Also, planes are small so most carry-on luggage gets Gate-checked. Pick your bag up at destination on walkway ramp. Security is deadly serious about carry-ons: one small bag, one personal item= 2 items ONLY.

Airport is small, clean and efficient. My flight is delayed due to a snowstorm. If you buy alcoholic beverages at the Highlands Airport Cafe through security, you must STAND at the high tops. They don’t provide seats for those drinking. A very attentive and compassionate woman, named Lori, approached me asking how everything was. I said great accept I just had back surgery and can’t sit down with my beer. Turns out she was the manager of the cafe. She went and found me a chair so I could wait more comfortably. Standing isn’t really possible for long. As others poured in and had to stand I felt terrible. I hope they put the chairs back ASAP. It feels discriminatory for those of us who enjoy an adult beverage but can’t stand.

This airport is a mess. Waited about 1.5 hours in a line of no more than 40 people to get through TSA. Zero sense of urgency to get people through, this number of people should have been checked and moved along much faster even with only one scanner open. While waiting at my gate, an airport employee opened the door to the gate without disarming it, setting off an alarm. Just seems like none of the staff know what they’re doing. I got here 3 hours early so no issue catching my flight, but the airport is lacking responsible oversight for sure.

We stayed in the hotel across from the Bangor airport. We got to the airport 2 hours early. Delta personnel took an hour to take our bags. We checked in at the kiosk and paid for our bags. Security was a disaster. Held up lines. We finally got through security. We got to the gate and delta closed the doors on 12+ people. The delta counter can’t help you, you have to call delta 1-800 number. Security guy was telling people “you didn’t get here 2 hours early” which was a lie for everyone around me. Delta front desk check in people were the same at the gate… it was their fault we all missed our flight. And they knew it but still had the nerve to tell people get their 2 hours early. Delta needs more trained staff in Bangor Maine.

I was definitely disappointed with this BIA visit especially since this was first American place we landed coming home from a 9 month combat deployment. Where are the famous Maine Troop Greeters?! There was only two ladies selling snacks and drinks. It was eerily quiet walking from the plane. SMH Maine.

One of my favorite airports to fly in and out of. It’s uncommon to find such easy parking and friendly service in airports these days. I typically fly United Airlines, so I’m so happy to have United serve this airport with FIRST CLASS SEATS! That’s so amazing– especially for such a small community and airport. Truly, the Presque Isle town council did it right by recommending United Airlines to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Essential Air Service. Well done!

Small airport staff was for the most part frendly except 1 lady she was a real ##### other then that no issues plane was a little late but not their fault.

Nice, small town airport with friendly staff. That being said, this nice airport is serviced (occasionally) by United/GoAir, which make scheduling a flight and keeping to the scheduled something that can only be done by other airlines. If you ever have to get somewhere on time, don’t fly out of here. United flight scheduling to and out of PQI must be done by someone with severe untreated schizophrenia. There is a very slight chance your flight may leave on time. It’s very likely that it will be canceled after it is delayed 6 times, just to make sure you don’t find any alternate way of getting out of town. And if you are lucky enough to leave PQI, chances are you will miss any and all connections you wanted to make, and spend at least an hour sitting on a taxi way in Newark as the gate is never ready. The word unprofessional doesn’t describe the amount of incompetence involved in running this operation, which isn’t fair to all the nice people that work at the airport.

Excellent service! Friendly folks accommodated all our needs. Small airport with big charm.

**THIS IS A PLACE TO REVIEW THE AIRPORT, NOT THE AIRLINES!!!!! IF YOUR FLIGHT GETS CANCELLED ITS NOT THE AIRPORTS FAULT. STOP LEAVING NEGATIVE REVIEWS IN THE WRONG PLACE–ITS NOT THE AIRPORTS’ FAULT** That being said… I travel frequently, and have traveled to over 30 countries. I love this airport–it’s so easy, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and while the flights do get close to being full, they are almost never fully packed so it doesn’t feel so “stuffy”. People who left negative reviews on here just don’t know how good they have it. It’s normal for small aircraft to get cancelled due to weather. This happens all over the world all of the time. Presque Isle Airport is by far one of my favorite airports. I literally go out of my way to fly out there, even with a longer drive than going to Bangor. Thank you wonderful staff at the airport for such a great job!!

Despite other negative comments posted here, the TSA staff at Augusta Maine were very courtious, friendly and efficient. Yes they had to open every piece of luggage and inspect and swab them but it is a small airport with limited equipment. They obviously take there job seriously, insuring the safety of all passengers, even at small ports of entry into the greater secure travel structure. Highly commendable, I will gladly fly in and out of there again.

This is a bare-bones facility for puddle-jumper service to larger New England airports. Don’t expect more. As I have an ICD, I opt for a pat-down security check rather than going through the machine. The check at Augusta was most thorough I recall ever having. It was also the first time the examiner ever put my shoes back on for me. Amusing.

nice and easy to access. restrooms are only available prior to TSA, none inside security area and of course non on-board small aircraft. extended day parking available across street from terminal.

Worst Airport experience ever. The place is so small but TSA AGENTS are HORRIBLE. I was the only person flying out. One TSA lady broke my bag while going through everything and made it a point to point out that my bag mysteriously broke. Of course she wouldn’t admit that she did it. Then despite having TSA-PRECHECK and being the only passenger another TSA WOMAN claimed that I was randomly selected for additional screening. There was state police officer who appeared out of nowhere while I was going through this tiny TSA. I sure hope I wasn’t treated like this because I was a Black Man. The Only Positive experience was with the young lady who worked for Cape Air. She was kind and Professional. AVOID THIS AIRPORT if you are Black. I will never visit Agusta Maine ever again after this experience. Felt like I was in the South.

I love this place. Theirs free overnight parking. But only if u can prove your too high or drunk to drive, orrr fly! They may charge you a small fee of a reach around but don’t worry if u ask for Kenny it’ll be over soon.

Great place to stop, visit the nearby Owls Head Transportation Museum. Then head downtown to the Rockland waterfront for excellent local seafood!

Newly updated FBO (Downeast Air) with lots of private space and gracious hosts. Relatively low full service gas prices. Crew cars available if you want to take a quick ride into town or see the sites – including the museum. We just stopped by to fuel and take a break, but we’ll be back again!

wonderful little local airport with a cute restaurant (which I have not eaten at yet) and the fastest security checkpoint as there are usually less than 10 passengers at any time. TSA is super friendly. The wonderful Cape Air serves this airport.

Great place to fly, smooth runways, very little traffic, and good scenery. If your getting cross country time in maine this is a definite stop

Small little airport for the Rockland area but it is nice and convenient. The prices are a little higher than other airports but that is expected with a smaller airport. They are super friendly here and time efficient. I have always felt very comfortable flying in and out of here. The planes are smaller so don’t expect a large plane when flying out of here.
