Small airport but nice. Terminals are little half circles. Once you get past security, there isn’t much to do besides walk the loop or browse a tiny shop or two. Also tons of birds in the area. We saw around 1,000+ pigeons or similar small bird in a giant flock. Pretty cool! If the bathroom near your gate has a line, try walking to the other side of your terminal loop.

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is a nice older airport, a little cramped and short on space. Kansas City International Airport is clean, well managed, and maintained. There are only a couple of restaurants or bars in either of the 2 concourses. The concourses are narrow, and space/seating can be limited, especially when flights become delayed. The airport is about a 20-minute drive to downtown Kansas City. If you find my review helpful, please give me a thumbs-up 👍 Thank you!

Very easy airport to navigate, & the TSA wasn’t a big issue! This airport is smaller, & definitely not as hectic as the bigger guys! The food options weren’t that great in the airport…but, I’d already ate. That’s definitely something they need to improve! Overall a nice simple airport!

A lot of folks appreciate the convenience of the current Kansas City International Airport, as do I. However, it’s NOT like most airports across the country. For many reasons such as VERY few places to eat and shop, especially within the gate areas. As well as the overall design of the horseshoe shaped terminals. I’m really excited about the new airport that’s scheduled to open in March 2023. It will definitely be a much new and better experience.

I’ve been to many airports and this airport has me wondering…what were the designers thinking? The boarding posts are actually in the main walkway! So I’m walking to a different gate for my connecting flight, and the Starbucks line is across the seating area, going into the boarding area while blocking the main walkway. If you have a connecting flight, bring food. Your options are seriously limited and the lines are long. There are a few gates close to each other, and you have to LEAVE THE SECURE AREA to get to other terminals or lower gates. I saw they are remodeling terminal A. May I suggest you just build another airport? I don’t think a remodel will make this airport any better.

Sept2022: 4⭐: I was stranded at this airport for quite a while on a layover. I decided to walk around and found a few things that were interesting. I took note that the kiddie area was closed at the time I was there. I did see a decent amount of artwork that caught my attention in the hallways. You know most airport space is decent and sometimes still being further developed. I like this airport on a basic level as it appears to be fairly functional. I took notice that maintenance was being performed on the walking floors, so I had to use my own two feet!! What is happening!! Oh wait, yeah that’s why I have those… LoL

It’s small, but the design reminds you of a different Era! The main terminal brings back the old-time feel of flying! Great artwork displays as well as food options! The service is fantastic as well!

This was my first time visiting STL. I fly a-lot, and I must say, I was really impressed with how clean the entire airport was. The floors, seats, and most of all bathrooms were all extremely clean. I feel so relaxed waiting for my flight in a clean airport. They have a nice variety of restaurants and eateries to choose from, artwork and displays throughout the airport, a children’s playground, and even a pet relief area. Very nice touch STL.

St Louis Lambert International Airport is a good airport to travel to and from. You can fly to just about anywhere from this airport, it’s not a large facility so the wait for security and ticketing is reasonable. The airport could use some updating, but overall it’s a good airport

Overall good airport, just wish it wasn’t so far up north of St Louis in a not so safe surrounding area. Don’t stray from The main highway when making your way there. Pretty good parking options. Clean. Not too big so you don’t have to arrive super early. When USO is open (not sure it’s back since COVID closing), it was really nice and good food options and places to rest and relax. Pretty good prices on flights out so it’s not too small of an airport.

Nice clean and quiet airport. Not too many crowds we landed got out things and went in our way………..On leaving the airport the TSA line was the slowest I have seen and who ever running the X ray machine on 4/18/2021 at about 3pm needs to go into training. I literally saw 5-7 different bags be looked through for items that are permitted on a plane. That was a let down.

This is a small airport, yet it is surprisingly spacious when you walk in. Baggage claim is exceptionally easy with only 3 carousels. Parking is directly in front of the entrance, so there’s no need to take a shuttle or park in a garage and remember what level you are on. There are a variety of places to sit and wait for arriving passengers, which is nice. I really like that seating by the gates have small tables between some seats–not just long rows. It provides a table and a solo seat for a solo traveler. Great women’s bathrooms! There are 8 bathroom stalls.  Good sinks–water comes on easily and stays on a good amount of time. However, the paper towels are hard to manage. They come out in a string–you have to pull just right to separate the pieces. Springfield has a great airport.

We thought this airport was great. Smaller than those big city airports, but you get the right amount of amenities. Enough restrooms, (which were very clean), food venues and gift shoes. The TSA agents were very friendly yet professional. The different counters (Allegiant, McAllister‘s, and Hertz) the employees were very nice and helpful. The rental cars were right outside the door of the airport and there was a lot of parking for short and long term parking for different fees. All in all, a great airport.

A nice clean quiet airport. I had a flight get in late night, then I had to make a 5am flight back out the next day. I debated on staying in the airport but chose a nearby hotel to be safe. They have patrol through the airport and these nice chairs to rest if needed. So if there is ever a next time and I only have 5 hours between flights, i may stay in the airport. TSA doesn’t open until 430am. It took less than 8mins to clear check point and head to my gate for my 5am flight. I think** one coffee place was starting to open right at 5am.

Me moving to Columbia 2 years ago: “it’s so nice to have an airport 15 minutes away!” Me after 19 out of 20 flights since being delayed, canceled or otherwise messed up even with a new terminal: “it’s so nice to have a reliable airport only an hour and half away in St Louis!” Long story short… if you need to make any connection, don’t use this airport. They never seem to be able to quite get it together.

Long time American airline Excutive Platinum member. I travel for workand have been back and forth for the past 2 months. The TSA agents , here, are the absolute worst I have experienced, lazy, using personal phones while working(and passengers waiting), zero concern for your personal belongings and valuables. I have had 2 bags and tools destroyed from airport. My colleagues I will be flying in and out of St. Louis from now on and making the 2 hour drive to Jeff City, simply to avoid the head ache. I heard they were wanting to expand flights from American, I’m here to tell you, you lost our business. I honestly can’t express enough how discontent I am with the TSA personal at this location. Here are the results of my most recent experience, not the worst one mind you. PS I didn’t realize at the time they broke the hinge also, hence why it is taped together. Such a Disgrace.

Very small airport at the moment. The fate area was packed with customers. I had to almost wait near the TSA station. It seems they are building a new terminar which seems nicer than what is currently in use. Will say that when visiting Columbia, getting to this airport is more convenience that driving 2 hours from Kansas or St Louis. Hopefully the new terminar will solve many of the current issues.

By far the worst airport I’ve ever been to. Draconian rules that make no sense, no use of TSA pre check even though there’s a lane listed for it. Refusal to check baggage, and lost baggage. Out of 20+ countries and numerous airport experiences in the US, I can truthfully say that this is by far the worst one. Missouri residents, it’s worth the extra miles to go to STL or KCI. Don’t even consider this airport to function properly

They with held a lot of very crucial and important details until the last second costing me thousands of dollars all because of their ignorance. I’ve been here since 2am and they waited till 6:00 to tell me my 6:15 flight is delayed till 12. No notice no warning no nothing. And then expected me to spend another 100$+ to Uber home…..for nothing. I am suing. Not just for that but for the fact I almost feignted from waiting in line so long. While there are people just standing there talking not doing anything.

Free parking, super fast boarding, and only 2 terminals. You can’t go wrong flying out of Joplin. All the staff were courteous and seemed like they enjoyed their job.

So this airport is quite small. Because of that you can check bags, get through security, and get to your gate quickly. However it seems this airport attracts a large amount of people who have never flown, or not flown in years. As such, all those tasks take so much longer than they should. People need to remember what you can and can’t carry on a plane. How security lines work, and what pre-check is. Much less that paper boarding passes are antiquated. Overall if the price is right, then it’s worth it. Just bring your patience.

The new Joplin airport is very nice and the staff friendly. It was nice to be able to fly into my hometown. I hope SkyWest/United continue their service or at least another carrier picked it up (Alaska Airlines is a personal favorite but Delta could also offer good options). Keep in mind there is one security line. The day I flew out someone in front of me seemed to have about every restricted item in their carry -on bags. People, CHECK THE TSA WEBSITE BEFORE YOU FLY. The list of items is RIGHT THERE. One person backed up the line for 10 minutes because of this. Other nice features are free parking and quick access. I will use JLN again given the opportunity.

Airport is small. If you do not like dealing with big crowds or don’t want the security hassel of the big airport it is great. The planes that fly out of there are small so the flight is a little more bumps or not level all the time and you have to get a connecting flight to most places as they only fly direct to ohare and Denver but I don’t mind to avoid the crowds at checkin and security.

Convenient, very pleasant and small regional airport that gets the job done. Much less hassle than the big airports. Coming and going is smooth. Parking is free. Easy check in with American Airlines. Avis and Hertz rental is smooth. TSA line is minimal.
