This is a very modern, and very big airport. And even though there are signs everywhere instructing you where to go, I noticed people still got confused just because the airport is so big and there’s so much going on. It was quite the hike from my gate to the rental cars, even though there’s a moving sidewalk. I didn’t notice until later that there’s a big red tram above that I might have been able to take had I known. However, I convinced myself that walking is healthy, especially after a 4hr flight. If you have a disability, I’d look for alternatives or help. Rental cars are outside and each company has their own shuttle. My shuttle came right away. And unlike the other parts of the country where there’s a car shortage, there were plenty of cars to rent. And very little pressure to use their insurance.

Good airport. Delta airlines and spirit airlines flights are plentiful at this airport. Things move pretty quickly at this. The lines are generally not that long. And the facilities are pretty good too here. This airport is better than quite a few other airports out there…the lounge is pretty good too

The McNamara Terminal is huge: 78 gates in one straight line. That’s good news if you are on a long journey and want to stretch your legs! Or you could take the red elevated train which has stops at the ends and the middle of the terminal. It is fast and driverless, yet it never has an accident…. A feature I appreciated a lot is the reflection room at the center of the terminal, where you can pray or meditate; a silent spot away from the busyness. The selection of restaurants is OK, but there are very few coffee shops. This could be improved. I like the charging poles with USB ports that are widely available while you wait at one of the gates. The terminal is quiet and and pleasant on your ears. The water feature at the center of the terminal was nice the last time I was here (with intermittent spurts: cool!) It is being redone and hidden from view. Who knows what will pop up when it’s finished! Delta has a nice new service: scan your boarding pass at a special desk in the center hall and your flight info appears in big letters on the big screen above your head, only for you to see; everyone else sees a blue screen with a plane only.

The Macnamera (Delta) terminal is excellent as far as US airports go. While terminal A is very long, the entire place has a simple layout, new and modern, lots of moving walkways, and an internal tram running the length of terminal A. B & C are close by, but smaller, and similarly easy to navigate. Good set of food choices, though may be a bit of a hike to get there. Most food seems to be typical airport prices, but I did run across one place with $5 muffins which seemed to be a bit exorbitant, as even Starbucks isn’t that much. If you are changing airlines or not flying Delta, you’ll likely need to visit the Evans terminal nearby. I haven’t been there. There is a shuttle between the terminals, but likely takes awhile because you need to exit security and take a bus.

Nice airport, sometimes you can find cheap flights from here then from Chicago O’Hare. Wait times are not long if you don’t have baggage. Would recommend doing the check in online. Plenty of options for food/drinks/coffee ☕ .

It has been 4 years since my last flight out of GRR. There have been some changes since then. The security line had moved to a more central location and is much more straight forward and a breeze to go through. My gate was easy to find. It looks like they are building another terminal too. My flight was on time. Everything moved efficiently and was easy to find. The whole experience to and from was great. Overall a 5 star review.

A great regional airport in terms of ease of access and flight options. Plenty of parking and the terminal is clean and well maintained. Easy to get in and out, although sometimes people take liberties by parking their cars too long in the arrival area, clogging up the pickup area for passengers.

Just before Thanksgiving and Christmas, various organizations join together at Gerald R. Ford International Airport to welcome our active military and veterans home for the holidays. God bless and thank you for your service!

Small lil airport but had a good set of spots to wait for the plane. Enjoyed some Founders beer while we waited. Nice and easy to get through security, seemed they had more TSA than larger airports to get through the gate.

National always treats me like a king, willing to upgrade me at the drop of a hate for no additional cost to me. The parent company, Enterprise, does not recognize me as an Emerald Club member since 2010. The Enterprise counter staff is not receptive to what I need in a rental as a handicap.person, and tries to put me into a car that is way too small for a high premium cost; making it cost prohibited for me to upgrade. WITH NATIONAL, everyone that works there has me in mind from the reservation, including any changes I make in their user friendly app, to my dropping off the vehicle when I am finished with the rental. There are never any extra or surprise charges. I feel like a king as an Emerald member. Thank you so much for your exceptional customer service National!

I recently traveled on Allegiant Airlines through Flint Bishop Airport to Savannah, GA non-stop. The airport is only a 40 minute drive from my home up I-75 and it was a very pleasant experience! I reserved my long term parking online at Parking.com and then just drove into the lot and walked into the terminal. The airport is modern, efficient, clean and has a great staff. My flights to and from Savannah were excellent and Allegiant is a well run low cost airline. This is the first time I have ever flown Allegiant and out of Flint Bishop Airport. As opposed to going to DTW and flying Delta, I saved a great deal of time, money and stress. My trip was completely without issues thanks to the great people at Flint Bishop Airport and Allegiant! I am going to use the same combination for my next trip South in September! Many thanks to all!

Great Airport smaller and clean always great Service and consistent on gate placement of planes easy to navigate through… TSA always friendly and thorough I was in a panic after losing my ID this has never happened to me and I didn’t notice it until right as I was checking in with security they were very helpful and accepted other multiple forms of identification with practicing proper safety protocols to ensure I was still who I said I was on point and always friendly and helpful! We fly OFTEN and FNT is a great airport!

Fantastic airport. Small, clean and easy to get where you need to go. Everyone seems friendly. Very glad to have this option over DTW. Would love if they brought Delta back! Hopefully, my daughter who will be traveling for the first time on her own today will have a good experience. She’s full of nerves. Fingers crossed!

Ah yes, the Bishop International Airport. Their post-security snack shop is stocked with everything you may need for your flight (e.g. pepto, goldfish, ear plugs, nasal spray, honey buns, funyuns, jelly beans, fruity tooties, you name it). Interesting fact about Bishop: although it has the word international in its title this airport actually only services flights to 13 cities all located within these United States. No doubt I’ll be flying into/out of BIA again someday.

Very nice airport. Well organized to move travelers smoothly to the gate. It seems the TSA have a good system to inspect and get you to your hate quickly. I did notice the restaurant at the top of the escalator is closed. Only a store is open before the security check. Overall nice place with some history of the original airport and some of the military stationed there that called it home.

Beautiful, clean and well maintained airport. It would be easy to forget you are at an airport here with all the design and holiday decorations here in December.

Love this airport! Quick access to rental car return and quick transit through security. Much better than huge airports where you have to take a shuttle and stand in a huge security line then walk 2000 feet to get to your destination! Only problem is if you arrive late after 10 pm there is no public transportation and rental car companies are closed.

Nice airport, made for future expansion. Wish they had observation platform for families to watch flights leave/arrive. Security has been updated for faster checks and less delays.

Clean airport. No service at desk for over 20 minutes. Then waiting another 15 for someone to grab my elderly grandma in her wheelchair to walk her through security. I had to go remind the desk staff we were still waiting. Nobody has any idea what was going on. Very disappointing. I am glad we got there 2.5 hrs before her flight. Very poor service.

Delightful regional airport. The Envoy / American Airlines staff were awesome. Enjoyed the cafe and the Prairie style architecture. The gate area is nicely furnished with comfortable places to work and there is good free wifi. I only wish there were easier connections between here and Mackinac or Beaver Islands!

It took 10 minutes to get from front door to my gate. I have never had such a smooth and easy check- in at airport. Smoothie bar had a variety of items to satisfy most appetites. Coffee, lattes, wraps, burgers, smoothies, alcohol and more. While waiting for your flight the airport has a short story stand. You can select and print a story to read. I found this interesting. National rental was so easy to work with. No wait, in and out in 5 minutes for pick up and drop off. Drop off was under two minutes. This airport is a dream ❤️

Nice small airport it’s pretty clean. Offers 1 spot for you to get food. Seems to be a new airport. Also car rentals are located right next to baggage claim which is great.

What a terrible airport! Hands down one of the worst in the country. Understaffed, inattentive, slow… Thanks for a unimpressive travel experience… Baggage check = 20 minutes Waiting at the very empty bar = 20 minutes Watching the bartender make a drink for a woman who showed up 15 minutes after you = 5 minutes Finally ordering a beer and watching them pour = 2 minutes. I guess that’s why they want you here so early! Wear bright colors, maybe that will get people’s attention!

Had a very good experience with all phases of my flight. The airport is clean with great options for seating and charging. Looks like things have been upgraded. Bathrooms kept clean. Most important, the staff was over and beyond friendly and helpful. All of them. TSA officers, gate agents, cleaning crew, pilot, flight attendants, and even the staff loading on carry-on luggage.

This is a nice airport. I really like the smaller airports. Easy in and out. This one is very comfortable and easy to find where you need to go. The coffee shop is actually a Big B Coffee, that is great coffee. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. The TSA personnel are very easy to work with, even if they have a problem with your bag, they are very fast. We will fly in and out of here again.
