A mid sized airport, clean with a fair amount of foot traffic. Good customer service. Signage on two levels for arrivals is a little confusing. Not a lot of wait time for airplane arrivals and departures. I appreciated that even though it’s an older airport, there were choices on items to eat and it is still well maintained.

Nice airport. TSA is a little slow but it’s to be expected during the holidays. Nice staff greeted with a smile. The gate agent was a little rude but I think she was new and a little flustered. I’m giving passes and second chances all year.

The Birmingham airport is what i would consider a small-medium sized airport. I flew into this airport aroiand it was pretty empty. As i walked by the TSA area towards baggage claim, the screening section seemed adequately staffed and people seem to be moving fast. Very easy to get around. Leaving the parking deck (either in a rental or personal) is confusing. The lanes after you exit are not very well marked. If you don’t pay attention, you can end up circling the terminal. Also, it can take what seems like an eternity to get your luggage. But most of the time the people that work there are friendly and helpful. Since there only two concourses, it’s not that difficult to navigate. In 2008, the airport was renamed Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport to honor the world-changing legacy of late Birmingham civil rights activist Rev. Fred Shuttlewworth. Their modernized terminal boasts free WiFi, convenient charging stations, children’s play areas, a sensory room, private nursing and meditation rooms, and a variety of renowned local and national restaurants. including: Red Mountain Grill, Birmingham Brewhouse, Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks, and more. BHM is home to four airlines, servicing over 100 daily flights to 15 cities for more than 3 million passengers: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.

This is a small airport and it’s not very busy. It’s actually cute. That means you can get through check in and security pretty quickly. The staff has southern hospitality which is expected and will be glad to assist you. Finding your way around here is very easy. Bathrooms are clean and good selection of food. When you get to Birmingham you see your first visual taste of Barber’s. They usually have an awesome motorcycle near baggage claim. They swap the bikes out often 😍.

Haven’t flown in several years. Didn’t know what to expect following the recent events. I was pleasantly surprised to find everyone was so courteous and friendly. The airport is amazingly clean and comfortable. Got through check-in and TSA quickly. The staff scanner flagged my cargo shorts, so I got a lovely pat down, but even that was incredibly professional.

Super clean airport with great ease of ingress/egress. Well-maintained facility inside and out. Very clean restrooms. I expect this airport to continue expanding as Huntsville’s population continues its rapid growth.

Nice airport with great parking. Wait times have never been to bad for TSA. Restrooms and airport are kept continuously clean. Being a smaller airport food options aren’t the best.

Not busy at all, easy to get around. It’s an airport, so the typical things you see in an airport. Security was on point and the process was smooth going.

Great small airport. The terminal was well thought out and efficient. Rental cars are across from the terminal — very convenient. Pleasant restaurants and places to get a drink/watch a game as you wait. Baggage handling is fairly quick.

I travel a lot and I like small regional airports like that. Friendly staff no waiting lines, clean and functional. But rental Cars on special weekends must be booked in advance or you pay high for the rest they have on my arrival on a Thursday all normal ones sold out but one day late in catch one 😉

Small airport that is clean and not too busy. Staff were nice and boarding was quick and orderly.

I’ve used a lot of airports around the world. To be honest, Mobile Regional is inconveniently located, showing signs of age, and somewhat dirty. However, that is more than made up by airport staff whose friendliness, warmth and professionalism I’d put up against almost any airport I’ve used globally. I also love the mini-cafeteria sort of place with Hudson News, a small restaurant and a bar in the same store.

It was the worst experience ever. It was about 1 hr. for someone to come help. You had employees going to the back, probably going on break. When it was just 1 customer, my family member was standing in line. Just shut down the whole airport. Some employees are just too lazy.

I usually love Mobile regional airport. Today started well, with the TSA and food service staffs in good spirits and offering kind delightfulness but the gate agent at Delta was austere and severe and did not acknowledge me when I thanked her. I doubt this is MOB’s fault, but it gave me pause and I hope the next trip will be friendly from Delta’s on ground staff.

It’s a small airport and needs some update. The bathrooms by gate 1 is not very clean or functional. I went into two different stalls which had broken hooks. Bathrooms are the basic needs of travel and that’s unfortunate they don’t keep it maintained. The bag retrieval took a long time here compared to other airports. The TSA was fine.

I love flying out if here to start my vacation trips!😎 The staff are always outstanding and work so efficiently around the airport TSA included 🙂 👩‍✈️👨‍✈️🛫 MGM is the best airport in this area by FAR and I’m so glad they are here😁😆 Would really suck having to drive to Birmingham or ATL for every flight.

Small, regional airport but it’s always a pleasure going through MGM. Delta staff and TSA are always friendly and polite. May have one baggage claim but I’ve always gotten my bag quickly. Would highly recommend flying out of this airport anytime

So, you may have heard about this but my flight was the day after a woman got killed, sucked in to an engine on the tarmac. It was somber and weird, windows covered with paper to hide the gruesome scene. With that in mind all staff was professional, classy and helpful. My experience was great under any circumstances but considering this one I wish I could give 10 stars. Horrible situation but airport operations went on normally after reopening.

I had plenty of time there my plane was delayed because of weather in Dallas. Everything is simple in Montgomery it is small but has everything you need. The waiting area is large and comfortable there is a small coffee shop.

I would like to thank the guys here for the hospitality during our 3 days of working on the premises. Here are a few of the finished products from today and yesterday. Tomorrow is our last day and I can honestly say I would recommend this place for all of your aircraft needs.

This is possibly the smallest airport I have ever seen. Even smaller than Bangor international (Maine). But the staff are pleasant and there is a food court available just outside the secure area. If you are looking to get to Fort Rucker from here there is not a shortage of taxi services readily available.

Our Delta flight from Atlanta to Montgomery was diverted here due to bad weather. Was surprised to see they actually have a Delta airlines here that flies to Atlanta. Airport has a TSA screening area and is very clean. Only drawback was lack of food during our 4+ hour stay. The one snack vending machine only partially worked. The top two rows of buttons didn’t work so choices were limited but Delta brought out water and snacks.

Great little airport. Only wish I didn’t always have to go through Atlanta airport.
