- Reviews:Small airport named after one of Americas greatest heroes, Chuck Yeager. People here are very friendly and service was quick. Bags were expeditiously unloaded. Facilities and bathrooms were clean. Few options for dining, but enough to keep you from starving. Bonus: they have 10 Tesla chargers on level two of the parking garage!By Chris Bradburry (6 months ago)This is a great little airport in the middle of West Virginia back country. Some of the most beautiful land in North America. The amenities are small but the views are huge. Glad I had a chance to fly out of here!By A Treat (3 months ago)Nice little airport. Was easy to get to and from. Security was quick since we were the only flight going out. Had a little spot to grab drinks and hot sandwiches.By David McGaha (a year ago)This airport is a quite small but nice ambience and i just realize that the location above the hill. 👍By Okky Dion (3 months ago)The terminal was clean and quiet… I think I was meeting the last flight of the evening, 10:06 p.m….By James Turley (7 months ago)

- Reviews:Go Herd!! Easy access in and out of this regional airport serving the Tri State area. The line for TSA tends to be short if a line at all. Clean and well maintained. New elevator to assist with getting to and from the terminal to the parking lot is very nice. Parking lot and facilities are decent. Parking lot kiosks were confusing at first. Follow the instructions closely. Edited January 2022) What it does not have in amenities is made up in being a convenient location. In the 10 year plan – a parking structure.By Paul T (11 months ago)Just updating my review from each flight! Everything is pretty much the same, clean restrooms flights are usually on time.. almost everyone is friendly and helpful. They could definitely upgrade the parking situation its difficult at times to even find a place to park, there’s no real structure everyone just parks taking to much space or blocking the road, then you have a very long walk to get to the airport entrance not to mention a huge flight of up hill stairs before you even get there. Prices to leave your car in long term parking is very expensive, seems they could update their parking lot.By Carpe Diem (4 years ago)GA FBO here is excellent. Been here a few times now. Staff is on top of things. Line crew helps with ramp parking, clean and modern crew car, and helpful ATC staff. No complaints!By Jason Hughes (wk057) (9 months ago)This is a very small airport so I would definitely suggest making sure you have taken care of everything food or drink wise before arriving as you won’t find many options for that at this airport. The upside to it being so small is that you can get there a little later and pass through security quicker.By Brandon H (6 months ago)Ok, for the size, it is about what you would expect. The ladies at check in were super nice. No self check in kiosks. The first 2 people I came in contact with at TSA, not so much. They were pretty rude. Especially the woman checking ID’s. Acted, and spoke to me, as if everybody knows exactly what you should be doing. In this Covid era they should be a bit nicer. If this were my 1st experience flying, I can’t say I’d want a repeat. The other 3 were super nice. If you’re hungry, eat before you come! 2 food & 2 soda vending machines and a lil “snack shack”. (Pic below) But it is clean. 🙂By Wendy Yonts (a year ago)

- Reviews:Quaint local airport with a single gate and thorough TSA security checkpoint. I had a late night transfer here flying from O’Hare to Dulles on a small regional jet. Great experience, be ready for a rough landing and take off if there is any inclement weather.By Jay Miner (3 years ago)Best airport in WV! I love small airports but this one is by far my favorite. Easiest TSA I’ve e ever been through, comfortable and renovated gate area, full jet-bridge, and flights to all the major destinations you need to get anywhere in the World!By Ryan Johns (2 years ago)You would think that they would figure out parking with other companies that use the main parking lot ahead of time. Nope, but I guess that shouldn’t surprise given the shoot from the hip culture. Update: The parking got so bad that you almost couldn’t leave due to idiots parking in the road now you have a slalom. Since several left finally. Update 2.0: They have separated the parking lot so that the airport has it’s own controlled lot. MHI has their side. Although selfish idiots still wanted to park on MHI side despite the signs. I hope they had their bumpers ripped off during towing. Maybe just maybe if you are planning to leave scope your situation out first and plan ahead seeing as you bought tickets ahead. Also a good idea to possibly pay attention to no parking signs. The selfishness here seems limitless at times. I have seen other situations where people took private parking and the police and tow trucks were called.By Ben Daulton (4 months ago)Yes. I fly Allegiant Air here. Yes. Flights are decent. However. They have no restaurant here. It’s been closed for years….without one to replace it any time soon. They have vending machines. While the prices are not as high as say Pittsburgh Airport, they are moderately high, and when flights are delayed or a lot of people, they have hardly any food or drinks. And no one who works there is in any rush to restock. The TSA is good. They have separate areas. Front is for waiting and guests. Once past the TSA, they have their own area. Again. It’s not a bad airport. But. I have it medium stars because of the above mentioned issues.By Torch Wood (a year ago)My experience with this airport is good and bad. If your flying out of this airport it’s a great experience as long as there are no delays. But if your looking for a place to work. I would suggest avoiding at all cost. Management doesn’t care one bit about its employees, they expect you to basically live there, and they will just fire you out of nowhere for no reason at all. You would be better off stacking shelves at walmart and you would prob get payed better.By Vincent Cochran (a year ago)

- Reviews:Super cool experience on a mini plane. Clean bathroom, quick transit, friendly and helpful ground crew. They even offer complimentary bottled water after the security check!By Yvette (2 months ago)Great experience for Balloons Over Morgantown!By Matthew Clark (3 months ago)Down-home, and growing! GA is coming alive again and the airport management seems ready to build GA and other opportunities at the airfield. But while an extension is underway, and an industrial park seems to be coming, keeping line crews appears to be a challenge! The grounds are not being mowed, The bathrooms, while clean, are not being regularly cleaned and stocked. It is difficult to find and keep good workers especially who can pass federal random drug testing, but it can be accomplished in an environment where workers are appreciated and compensated well. I hope the management finds ways to continue good growth and to encourage a welcoming, well-served airport.By Jim Garner (6 months ago)TLDR version: airport is decent. Staff is pleasant. Airline is inefficient. Ensure ample layover time, prepare for lengthy delays. Staff is friendly. TSA was so quick. Building is decent. Seating is not the most comfortable. The pilots are excellent and friendly. My first time flying on the 8 seat plane was terrifying, but I got used to the turbulence by my second flight. The only negative is southern airways express. My departing flight was delayed by over 3 hours. Nearly every half hour they would delay it another half hour. This wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t cause me to miss a connecting flight. I ended up having to spend an extra $430 to get to my final destination. When calling the customer service number they were extremely rude and unhelpful, they ultimately hung up on me. If the flights were consistently on time I would definitely recommend traveling to and from MGW. It is so convenient to take a 25 min flight to PIT. Unfortunately, the airline they have partnered with leaves too much to be desired. I am only giving 4 stars because this is meant to be a review of the airport itself, not the airline. The airline would be a 2 star review, the only saving grace being the friendly staff and pilots who have no control over the situation/ compensation for travelers. The reason for delay in my case was a broken down plane, they had to “test” and fly in a new plane. The airline needs to be prepared for these situations and not make their customers wait this long. The airline should probably invest in some newer planes and definitely hire better representatives for their customer service phone line. I’m sorry for the novel, but I hope this can help fellow travelers avoid the same situation.By Jacqui Futrell (8 months ago)Best little airport for cheap, quick flights to DC and Pittsburgh. Parking is free and short lines to get through TSA.By Cheryl Paul (6 months ago)

- Reviews:I haven’t flown in or out since they upgraded the planes. It’s a small town airport so that being said it is what it is. I actually enjoyed how quiet it was. It could use a touching up inside but by no means a deal breaker. That little flight got me where I needed to go, when I needed to go. It was actually fun. The pilots were always nice and if you got a chance to talk with them they would explain the flight to you. Speed, distance, location, making up lost time. Very professional. Trusted them 100%. I will say getting through security was the toughest of any airport of gone through, they are very thorough. I had 3 golf balls that flagged for explosives. Better safe than sorry. One e you fly to Chicago, Cleveland or Columbus then it gets confusing. The flights are affordable and if you’re gonna drive 5 hours it’s well worth it. These pilots could land anywhere. Loved the sound of the propellers. I’ll have to try out the upgraded version. But it’s definitely a fun trip. Don’t believe the bad stories. I never had a problem. Enjoy your flight, you’ll be landing in 45 minutesBy Russell David (5 months ago)It is really convenient for the area, nice and roomy, they got their stuff down pat so ur not waiting for anything really. Cutsie restaurant. Plus you never know who you are going to meet there! I met Beaker from the Muppets this past Christmas there! 😆By Banana_Pie_101 (a year ago)Great location. So much more convenient than Pittsburg PA (PTL) and Charleston WV (CRW). Very nice restaurant -Jerry’s-By WV Almost Heaven (Montani Semper Liberi) (a year ago)Always a very easy, relaxed airport. Security isn’t stressful, and all the airport & airline staff are kind and helpful. Contour Airlines is really great, too. I really enjoy flying into and out of PKB. Highly recommended!By Jessica Labes (2 years ago)The rudest and most unprofessional staff I’ve ever dealt with. Used to flying huge airports and would expect this behavior out of them not a small airport I would expect people to go above and beyond. Would not recommend this airport to anyone.By Alice Ferguson (11 months ago)
