This is a cute, clean and friendly airport. Every time I’ve flown in or out of here has been a pleasant experience. The airport is on the smaller side, which makes it easily navigable. The luggage practically beats you to the baggage claim area. And rather than feeling like you’re relegated to the basement (talking about you, LA), you feel like you’re in a welcome center getting ready to start your relaxing and fun vacation.

Convenient, clean and streamlined operation. Moved from the front departure door all the way to the departing gate in about 10 minutes including the walk. Employees were very nice and knowledgeable.

I kinda liked this small interesting airport. Was nice, clean, not super busy either time I was there. Had some cool sightseeing gems, AND the car rental was right on site.

This is a smaller airport. There is a large information center. The rental car building is a quick 2 minute walk across the street. No need to take a shuttle. I had an early morning flight and TSA only took 5 mins to clear. It was clean. There was a Cinnabon coffee area to grab something early morning.

Very clean and had super friendly staff. Everyone there was very friendly and we got through TSA in under 30 minutes. There are a bunch of different shopping options, a chick fil a, and a Starbucks. There are bathrooms everywhere which is incredibly convenient. The airport itself was very clean and easy to walk through. There is seating everywhere so it is super easy to find somewhere to sit. Overall, this was a really nice airport.

I thought Charleston Airport would be mostly a regional jet hub, I was wrong and it is largely served by mainline carriers. The airport is easy to get in and out. There are also several dining options which are decent. The TSA was also relatively quick and you can find ground transport easily. It takes about 30 minutes to get downtown.

Charleston is a rather small airport, not what you would expect in this city. You walk-in and immediately walk behind the glass wall it’s not how it used to be when you could have people walk you to your gate. Baggage check point was fast and a breeze to go thru. It’s very nice on the backside of gate , restraints and if you plan on buying water have a card and it will be a 7.00 bottle of water. Everyone was nice and it was a easy process. Bathrooms are also super clean.

I never review airports, but CHS is just so good! The terminal looks modern, fresh and delightful. Security has no lines and TSA staff were super friendly. It’s just a really great airport!
✭✭✭✭✭ By Danqing Liu (7 months ago)
The new parking garage is great. There are signs that are clearly visible and well lit to let you know how many spaces are available on each of the 4 decks. The lower deck is where you return all rental vehicles. Easy access and plenty of shuttles available. The old parking garage is still in good use, but usually extremely full and closer to all the airline terminals.

First time flying out of CHS my main issue no parking in lot A and lot B is employee-only. There’s a lot little direction for how to get to the terminals from outside but once we were in the check-in process was smooth. TSApre✅ was slower than the standard passenger check.

This airport has had many improvements over the years and has become much better and processing flyers though. Food experiences ahve improved as well. Usally never too crowded. There is a nice outdoor place to relax before your flight and you can watch the planes come in.
✭✭✭✭ By CMB Caspanello (4 months ago)
THERE IS AN OUTDOOR SEATING AREA!!!!! Do I need to say anything more!!! No. But I will. The rental car center is right outside, literally a 3 min walk. It’s small (in a good way), had lots of food options centrally located and TSA is friendly. Probably because they don’t hate their lives, because this airport is NICE AND EASY!

Easily one of the best airports I’ve ever been to. Incredibly clean and easy to get through. Granted, it was a Tuesday afternoon, but there was hardly anyone there, which made security and boarding a breeze. They have a fantastic outdoor sitting area/garden, which is a great addition which makes a difference.

Very quiet, small and peaceful Airport. It has an outdoor space where you can wait for your flight which is pretty neat. It also has a massage chair right in front of the gate (I was in A2) and omg was that dollar worth it for 3 mins… the answer is yes. I didn’t love the customer service, people seemed just very harsh. Otherwise, nice airport.

Decent well maintained small feeder airport. The road design up to it is funky but straight forward. The airport itself is spacious with lots of seating for its size. A fair few amenities before you pass through security as well once you get through it.

Nice airport, quick. We have flew out of here a few times and have always been impressed with how quick the service is. The parking lot is usually full but not hard to get to. Parking garage is clean and accessible. The airport is clean and very helpful. I was truly impressed with this airport. We’ve had to fly in a few times. I like the way in the parking lot you can tell if a parking space is open by the lighting system. Stores are not always open but when they are they are nice. Restrooms are clean and accessible. There’s an open parking lot for big vans. To get to the airport is easy. Signs are visible.

From arriving at the airport and not having to feel rushed or security telling you to move your car, while saying goodbye to family. Then to check in with American Airlines and experience such calmness with airline rep Patty. Then to use the restrooms and experience such kindly, cleanliness, and professionalism with all staff. I can honestly say that this airport was the best airport experience we have ever had to deal with.

Went to this airport in June 2022 and was impressed with the ease of getting in and out of this airport. Parking outside and in the garage was very easy and accessible. Airport seemed to be very updated with good facilities and good service.

Airport is clean and beautiful but it’s small. Only 10 gates. Not alot of food options. Offers valet parking.

Quiet and nice airport, definitely gives you island airport vibes with the way the baggage is handled, both taken and given. The attendants were super nice and TSA check is really quick, so you don’t need to spend too much time waiting. The airport is also very small so you’re definitely not going to get lost!

Under construction which is understandable to where things are a bit disorganized. TSA is rough! They are very business, will not make eye contact, would not respond when saying thank you etc. Sad thats how things are. American check in was easy and and getting through the whole process with screening was about 20 minutes. Very small airport with limited seating.

Delta employees ,Ricardo, Amy and Lauren saved my trip to France. We were flying out of HHI to Atlanta then Paris and I foolishly used a booking agency to book my flights and misspelled my name on my ticket. A mistake that I will never make again!!!! I tried to fix it with the agency for months to no avail and in a last minute panic I went to Delta the day before my flight and Amy and Ricardo spent hours trying to help me fix my ticket so I wouldn’t have to spend almost $3000 more dollars on a new one. Ricardo had the brilliant idea of calling delta Corporate International and after about two hours they fixed my tickets and I was ready to fly to France. I realize that he did not have to do that and that the mistake was mine, but I am so grateful that they went above and beyond for me. Please give them recognization for being such amazing advocates for your customers. I will be loyal to Delta from now on.

Great little airport served by American Airlines and United. Pros: quick and easy check in and off boarding. Cons: if your flight is delayed, there are not many options for plan B. Airport has a nice waiting area with snack bar and restrooms (man, woman, family/disabled) in the attached area.
✭✭✭✭✭ By Victor Figlin (7 months ago)
The airport is small and not too busy in the fall. The waiting area before security clearance is comfortable but after passing through security it can be quite crowded if two flights are departing close to reach other. The alternative is to fly into Savannah which has more service.
