Bustling airport west of a city called Denver. Great place to spend time and recreate (I especially like to spend my Saturdays here) and to watch people en route to and fro interesting destinations. Casual to fine dining food options ranging from McDonald’s to Jamba Juice to Wolfgang Puck.

Pleasantly surprised…one of the better airports I’ve gone through in this country. Some parts are older and in need of a face-lift, but there’s parts that are new and delightful. Specifically, found this outdoor terrace area at the end of terminal A that was really neat. Had nice seating and fire pits to hang out by. There was also plenty of nice seating inside w/ abundant power outlets.

This might be one of the best maintained larger airports that I have been to. I was connecting flights on this trip and was surprised at the ease of doing so, while it’s a large airport and there are alot of places to eat, shop and relax everything is an easy walk from your gate. There are many restrooms and stores to purchase things from as well, this airport has a lot of room to stretch out and walk or find a seat away from crowds as well. United has a hub at this airport so things are going to be geared more towards united here.

One of the best airports I have visited, Absolutely too much crowd in the morning at security check but they have more than 20+ check points & it’s as fast as what we thought. Baggage claim is far away & Need to take a train, Tunnel experience is 👌we can find too many food courts inside. If you have time walk around the airport it’s kind of fun to see the plan’s around you. Excellent drive during night time.

Absolutely amazing experience as I arrived off of a flight to the Denver International Airport. I think deeply about what an experience means when it comes to navigation through the different terminals and the task of finding your bags in the baggage claim areas through the traveling process. I highly recommend this airport in Denver because the customer service level is significant compared to other airports I e had experienced with. The biggest thing about this airport is the ease navigation and helpful staff that are always on stand-bye to assist if need be. I will be back next year around that same time. Thank you Denver!

We flew in here from Dallas as opposed to Denver International to get ourselves over to Crested Butte. What a difference! It’s clean, smaller, less crowded, logistics are a breeze, there is space inside the terminal, and great food choices once your inside. Their price points are very comparable to Denver. Save yourself some valuable time, by heading straight over to the car rental first, which is located just across the aisle from the luggage carosals. This is why we sit closer to the front of the plane in order to get off that place sooner than the rest of you. We then bolt straight over to the car rental counter. This is where you can potentially lose a lot of your time, waiting with the rest of the flights arriving. Airports do operate in waves or surge’s for sure. The key is to be one step ahead of the surge. Car rental lines are the worst! Not for us though. Check out that photo of the empty carosel area huh?! 5 minutes to rent our car, and our luggage was waiting for us! Very nice airport! We’ll be back here in the future!

This is a really nice smaller airport. You don’t get the people traffic like Denver so it’s more relaxing and not a rat race. Plenty of room at the restaurant. They have a coffee shop and a couple little convenience places for traveling needs. It’s very clean and considerably quiet. My only complaint is that for some reason flights get delayed or cancelled a lot. To me, it’s worth the effort though. Recommended.

Colorado Springs airport is a small but a very efficient airport. It’s very convenient to show up 90 minutes prior to make any flight at this airport. The airport offers direct flights to many locations, such as Las Vegas, Phoenix and Chicago for a very low fare. All of my experiences at this airport have been outstanding. I highly recommend this airport for your transportation need, the staff and security are very friendly and helpful.

Airport was clean and up to date. Rental car return was easy. TSA was the worst I have ever seen, and I travel for work on a regular basis. They have a TSA pre check line, but it’s just a second line. It was no faster than the other line. Furthermore, they funnel everyone into a single line that couldn’t be any slower unless they shut it down. There seemed to be plenty of workers, but everyone seemed to be just standing around with no sense of urgency at all.

I wish I could fly out of here more often since it’s right down the street. Parking was easy this morning with the shuttle waiting on him long term parking. Great United Staff and check-in help/process. Even the TSA person said good morning. You see this is an example of you can do your job and be polite. The airport itself is so clean and new looking. Thanks all! Keep up the great work!

I had to get to the airport several hours early and got there about 15 minutes after it opened. I had to wait for someone at the luggage check to come out to check my luggage. TSA didn’t start until 9a, so had to wait another 30 minutes for that. Security check went quickly and finally was able to get some coffee and breakfast! The small coffee shop and grill had a lot to offer and was delicious! There were several places to sit and charge devices, both outlets and usb plug-ins. It’s been a while since I’ve used a small regional airport, but this was very nice and was kept clean.

Friendly staff, swift and efficient. The terminal is small, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was clean also. How refreshing. It was easy breezy through TSA. There is a bar with a beautiful view of the mountains. Plenty of seatings that are nicely spaced out. It feels so different than the hustle and bustle of the Denver International Airport. Love it!

My two experiences there have been amazing. Small easy to get around and cost-effective prices to Vegas and LA. First time we flew out we drove two hours from Eagle County CO to fly to Vegas. Great airport for the area.

Very nice airport. Very cozy and charming. Friendly staff and hot food even first thing in the morning. Easy to get in and out of and quick and efficient security check.

The airport is clean compared to most other airports but sadly American Airlines management could use some training on empathy and compassion. I reserved a spot for my dog that under 20 lbs to fly with me for a trip where I would be gone for over a month to see my family for Christmas. A manager came over and smiled as she told me my dog could not fly on the airplane due to his carrier being too small. We have been flying on a regular basis for over a decade together with the same carrier and never had an issue. I asked what options I had and they said Cargo but did not have Cargo available and were unable to quote me a price. They were unable to refund me my ticket. As tears formed in my eyes the manager smiled more. It was as if she was happy about me not being able to fly and see my family for Christmas and getting a power high from telling me no. I explained I do not know anyone in the area and did not think it would be an issue flying with my dog since I have done it for over ten years. She did not care and laughed at me. It was disgusting behavior and would never want someone else to experience that. Taking pleasure in someone else pain is not okay. I wasted so much money on a trip I was unable to go on. I hope my experience helps others make a better choice than I did. Do not choose AA if you want to see your family for Christmas and see your Nephew one last time before they are deployed. If you choose to book your flight with AA you most likely will be stranded somewhere. They have so many reviews about it. I feel dumb for believing the reviews. Please use my experience and choose better.

Although small, this airport had plenty of seats, clean bathrooms and even a little restaurant and a giftshop inside. The chairs are attached in three, giving people the option to lay down if needed. They have tables with chargers attached for people to use free of charge for every kind of phone, that’s a huge plus. The mountain views from the lobby are beautiful. For me one of the most important qualities of this airport was customer service! That is rare to find in airports, and it’s absolutely refreshing to see that. The employees greet you when you approach them, do rounds and greet people through out, and even the staff outside greet you. The size of the airport is small, but the customer service makes all the difference. I really liked this airport.

Our earlier flight was canceled. The staff from check in until departure were all amazing and helpful. We ended up spending an hour or in the “cafe/lounge”. Kim was especially helpful and we enjoyed our conversation.

Great little regional airport. It’s very small to the point of not even having jet bridges to access the aircraft. You walk across the ramp to board or deplane. I believe this airport is only served by three airlines. American, United and Frontier. Security screening is very quick and efficient. There are two shops pre-security and after that, only one little bar/store after security. The men’s room toilet is smaller then the restroom on a CRJ-700 jet. Your knees will almost touch the wall.

Flight delayed made for a very long day of travel…..May as well drove. Apparently the pilots got in late last night and they need 12 hours between flights. The airport however is very nice and easy to navagate.

I want to thank the security person who helped me get information back to National car rental. I had made it through security and she offered to go to the desk for me so that I would not have to go through security again. This Airport is well organized and staffed by kind, friendly people

I am a frequent traveler and never in my life have I seen a TSA team who was so incompetent, rude, and willfully slow. They were processing 8-10 people a minute and had caused a back up of over 150 people. They kept reminding the crowd that everything was our fault because we did now show up 3+ hours early. And I quote “we have no sympathy for you, you should have followed the posted guidelines.” Unbelievable, I will fly to Grand Junction and drive from now on. Shame on you Montrose TSA

I’ve never, ever had such a frustrating experience flying. None of the TSA or boarding employees have any knowledge checking in. I need to exit but the exit is locked. When I asked security how to get out, I was told I could exit by escort, which he did not do, he then ignored me. When I asked another agent how to exit, I was told I need to go outside where the planes are, but then someone stopped me and said that’s not an option. I’ve been trapped in the airport for an hour waiting to exit and must wait. This is already a stressful situation and the employees here are no help to ease it.

On December 4th I was able to get on the entirely wrong plane, wrong airline, wrong destination with no ticket! There was no confirmation in check by any airport staff which would have prevented this from happening. I boarded thru Gate 1 which was my correct SW flight going to Denver but it was delayed by 40 min which meant now it was boarding at the same time as Gate 2 the Dallas bound flight. I boarded the plane closet to my gate which happened to be the AA Dallas flight. No clarification from my Gate agent, flight crew or airport staff on the tarmac. I’m still confused why the manifests on both planes did not catch this as well! Montrose Airport could have addressed this when they found out there was a delay with the SW flight to Denver and had a staff member on the tarmac confirming planes as they were in close proximity but I saw no other plane but the one I boarded.

I flew into montrose airport the evening of January 11th. First of all waiting for luggage in cold weather in the open air is not good. Second of all when the luggage arrived it was put out randomly. As I am a small senior citizen I got shoved around & nearly fell down. I suggest that as the luggage comes out the large luggage with skis that they be put at one end or another thus eliminating a race to get skis & luggage. Most of the people were really rude shoving people out of the way to get to Telluride. Rather rowdy to get to telluride with shouting about beer It seems to me you need to organize luggage retrieval in a more safe way & separation to protect people like me. I do have to admit a lovely passenger from DC helped me a lot & stayed until my husband arrived. Kudos to her.
